IHR Tax Returns

Here are the IRS 990 Tax Returns for the LSF/IHR and Weber's pay scale from 2002 - 2010.

In 2009 alone Weber was able to con enough people to donate $195,000. in 2010 that was down to $140,000.

Yet he continues to ask for donations - The question is WHY?

LSF/IHR Tax Returns 2002 - 2010

Mark Weber - The Indolent who Failed the IHR

Mark Weber continues his stream of calls for donation dollars, both through the IHR website and his Constant Contact list. The 2009 taxes filed show donations brought in $195,000 for that period, so why is he asking for even more donations?

You see Weber is using the IHR as a personal sinecure, $47,000 per year

A position or office that requires little or no work but provides a salary.

Weber's Record of Failure

1. Cancelled the Journal of Historical Review.

2. Cancelled the yearly IHR conferences.

3. Cancelled the IHR Update Newsletter

4. Cancelled the IHR weekly internet radio show Worldwatch

5. Cancelled new book projects, resells books that can be bought cheaper elsewhere.

Mark Weber attends himself to writing an article once in a while, appearing on obscure internet radio programs, copying and pasting OTHER people's news stories for his News & Comment service.

Mark Weber lived at the expense of a wealthy Nebraska revisionist, the late William Curry, for ten years, ostensibly writing a book that would be the "final word" on the Holocaust. No such book has ever materialized even though it was Curry's dying wish that the book be published. With the resources of the IHR at his command, Weber could have his book published almost overnight. Does this book exist or was Weber exploiting Mr. Curry?

Thus is the craven and duplicitous nature of Mark Weber.

Paul Grubach Responds to a Defense of Mark Weber

It was written: "Your negative obsession with Mark Weber is unseemly and harmful to the cause of truth, in my opinion. It would be better for each of you to try your best to write and speak and publish, and may the support flow proportionately to whomever is the most effective."

Grubach responds. Directly contradicting what this person wrote, my concern about Mark Weber's wastage of Movement money is both right and good. Just look at page 3, Part III of Weber's/IHR's tax return. From 2004 until 2008 Weber took in a whopping total of $1,407,442!!! And what does Weber have to show for it??? Next to nothing! Weber destroyed the Journal of Historical Review, the IHR's book publishing arm, the IHR's newsletter, the yearly IHR conferences, and the IHR's Internet Radio broadcast. And Weber's destructiveness does not end here. Weber led the charge to destroy Willis Carto's Liberty Lobby and Spotlight, and he did nothing to replace them.

My point is that all of the money that is wasted on Mark Weber's IHR could be put to very good use elsewhere. http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

Grubach wrote: "Weber may be legally hiding his income under some other category."

The response to this was: "Such wild, unsupported insinuations are also potentially very harmful to many good people -- Mark's family and children, LSF staff, writers, et cetera -- and our cause.Your unsupported nonsense also contains an implicit assumption: that
minimizing the receipts of the regime in Washington is somehow immoral. I don't accept that assumption."

Grubach responds. Directly contradicting what this person wrote, my claims were not "wild, unsupported insinuations." On page 7 Part VII, it states that Mark Weber had no Reportable compensation from IHR/Legion for Survival of Freedom. Yet, on page 10 Part IX of the same document we learn that $51,480 was paid out in "Compensation to current officers, directors, trustees, and key employees." In Column B we learn that $46,332 was paid out for "Program services and expenses." Is this how Mark Weber was paid?? What his payment put under another category where his name need not be mentioned?

Grubach's Closing Statement. Since he has taken over the IHR, Mark Weber has done more damage to the Revisionist/patriot movement than the ADL could have ever dreamed of doing. And unless we openly discuss the damage that he done, we will never come up with a solution.

What did Mark Weber do with $195,000 ?

Paul Grubach's 2nd Response to a Defense of Mark Weber

The Defender of Mark Weber writes: "Mark Weber has held, I think, three formal public gatherings this year, not counting the IHR open house. I hope that you have done as much, and have been as effective."

Grubach responds. Mark Weber's "three formal public gatherings" and the "open house" attracted about 25 to 40 people per meeting. This is a very poor record, considering that Weber operated on $1,407,442 in public donations taken in from 2004 to 2008! By way of contrast, our online Revisionist journal, Inconvenient History, which operates on a very miniscule budget has had tens of thousand of viewers. Indeed, many months ago, I was told by the editor that my article on the current Demjanjuk trial had around 4000 hits! That is to say, one article from our Inconvenient History website got over four thousand views. The entire number of people who attended Weber's three meetings and open house was around 200. Directly contradicting what this person writes, this shows how ineffective Mark Weber really is.

Mark Weber's laziness and non-productivity is further highlighted by the success of Inconvenient History (IH). All of us at IH work for free and create our essays in our spare time. By way of contrast, Revisionism is supposed to be Mark Weber's full time job for which he is paid around $46,000 per year. Yet, Weber is just too lazy to even create an online journal. A former IHR employee pointed out, instead of working Weber spends his time on the phone with his wife and friends, pontificates on current history, watches You Tube video's, and sends out newspaper clippings--all the while he is took in $1,407,442 in donations and wasted it all.

The defender of Mark Weber writes:
"He has also created an online publication with approximately the same daily audience (according to Alexa's rating service) as some medium-size establishment media outlets -- not much less than the Tampa Tribune, for example. He's also quoted and interviewed fairly often by non-revisionist media. That's a creditable accomplishment."

Grubach responds. This is downright misleading. In a past mass email, Weber admitted that he has only around 1000 recipients for "Free News and Information Service." And furthermore, his "online publication" consists mostly of newspaper clippings from other web sites. Unlike the Occidental Quarterly, Barnes Review, and Inconvenient History, Weber is simply too lazy to do the work of creating and editing new and original material, so he simply spends his day sending out or posting articles from other web sites. And furthermore, I would be willing to bet that better than half of his 1000 recipients don't even bother to open his mass emails. Over the years, Weber has created very little original material.

In regard to his web site, Weber relies upon newspaper clippings from other web sites and past issues of the now defunct Journal of Historical Review, a large portion of which was created during the years when Carto was in control of the IHR. Weber's job is too create new and original studies and essays (like the Occidental Quarterly, Barnes Review, and Inconvenient History do). Weber does not do this--he simply spends his time posting articles from other web sites.

The reader should ask himself this question:
From 2004 to 2008, Weber has taken in $1,407,442 in patriot/Revisionist donations, and in return he posts articles from other web sites and sends out newspaper clippings to around 1000 people. Is the Revisionist/patriot movement getting a good return on their money?

Finally, it is an exaggeration to say that Weber is "quoted and interviewed fairly often by non-revisionist media." Weber is quoted and interviewed every once in a while, mostly by obscure radio shows and news sources. Furthermore, in the recent past, the mainstream non-Revisonist media has quoted him in order to do damage to the Revisionist movement. This further demonstrates what a liability Weber can be. For example, I remember seeing how USA Today quoted him in order to "discredit" the Holocaust revisionist movement.

Weber's Defender writes:
"Engaging in personal attacks on others in the field, in order to scrabble over the really minuscule donation pool that truth-tellers have to work with, isn't increasing that pool or spreading the truth to those who ought to hear it."

Grubach Responds. This is simply blatantly false. I am not "scrabbling over a miniscule donation pool." From 2004 to 2008 Mark Weber took in a whopping $1,407,442. Contrary to what this person writes, this is not a "miniscule donation pool." This is a lot of money that Mark Weber's IHR is wasting. I will continue to encourage people to stop sending the pathetic failure of a leader of the IHR, Mark Weber, their money, and send it to more deserving organizations.

Grubach's Closing Statement.
The good people of our Movement have had their money wasted by Mark Weber's IHR. It is high time that we discuss whether or not Weber should receive any more Revisionist/patriot money.

Mark Weber is a Con Man

The rank and file of the Revisionist movement have "gotten wise" to Mark Weber. Your laziness and incompetence have done enormous damage to the IHR, and it is now plain for everyone to see. Your "work" at the IHR is simply a "retirment hobby," a con game in which you acquire a weekly pay check to help make your child support payments. In fact, you have betrayed and conned the entire Revisionist movement. In my opinion, years ago it was a mistake of mamouth proportions when you conned us all to back you during the height of the Carto-IHR conflict. Thank God you failed to acquire the millions of dollars from the Farrell Bequest--you would have wasted it all away. Your enemy Willlis Carto is not perfect, but the fact of the matter remains is that Carto produces: Carto gets things done: Carto builds effective organizations. Just compare Carto's record to yours.

Wednesday

Mark Weber is a Sneaky, Duplicitous, Self-promoting Little S...

You have now disparaged Holocaust Revisionists as "cultists" and "fanatics". Yet for seventeen years you have been posturing down at the IHR as their leader. For seventeen years you have solicited financial contributions to support you in a job you now profess not to believe in. Does this not make you a fraud, Mr. Weber? Since you have misrepresented your real feelings for years and exploited the gullibility of those who believed in your false pretenses, should you perhaps refund all monies you have collected, both on your own behalf and on behalf of the Institute For Historical Review?

There is a legal principle known as "good faith and fair dealing", Mr. Weber. Have you acted in "good faith and fair dealing", Mr. Weber? Are we to believe that you came to your conclusions regarding the futility of Holocaust Revisionism only recently? Or is it more probable that you have carefully concealed this perspective from those you have been deluding for years? There will be those who will pounce on your betrayal as "proof" that Willis Carto was correct when he denounced you as a "Scientology agent". I refuse to believe it. Rather, the betrayal merely confirms what those who knew you in your National Alliance days already know-that you are a sneaky, duplicitous, self-promoting little shit.

Do not think that anyone is deceived by your change-of-course, Mr. Weber. You have been a failure your entire life-and you shall remain a failure. The best way to hasten your demise is for all supporters of the IHR to cease all financial contributions and to refuse to purchase any IHR products. Then, Mr. Weber, we can all bid you a fond farewell-as you sink into well-deserved oblivion.
